Has anyone noticed their friendly postie has been replaced by something less personable?
The new postal delivery 'efficiencies' have been achieved by making postmen and women redundant and replacing them with agency staff.
Postmen made redundant by the Hove depot six weeks ago have yet to get their P45s and so cannot claim benefit.
In the meantime, their old rounds are being done by people who don't know the patch and don't seem to want to be doing the job. The old Post Office had plenty of faults but the new management methods seem to be high handed and lacking in humanity.
Thank goodness for email - but that doesn't help the redundant postie laid off for no fault of his or her own.
