Well, that was fun. More than an hour trying to find the relevant polling station.
No cards were sent to our flat - and a magical mystery tour was the result of incorrect information from Hove Town Hall.
How I chuckled to myself at my apparent madness at the effort I was making, remembering the sour statistic that more people voted for Big Brother last year than for their say in Europe.
I wondered if things would improve this year? There were very few people at the three polling stations I visited.
So why don't we vote?
Does our own media and Government have a responsibility to provide badly-needed information regarding who to vote for? Or is this something that should be put on to our own shoulders?
Is the lack of information a deliberate attempt to weaken the strength of anti-Euro voters so the present Government continues on a pre-determined course to Brussels? Perhaps this would explain why the only information we received in our Hove flat was from the Conservatives. Well, at least they bothered.
In a climate of what I would term distinct unease regarding Europe, I would imagine if there was a time those pro-Europe advocates needed to raise their voices, it was now.
So where were they?
