Glamour model Katie Price, previously known as Jordan, has become Britain's best-selling author thanks to her kiss-and-tell autobiography.

She sold 34,390 copies of Being Jordan in the first week, three times more than her nearest competitor.

The book has tales of passion with football stars and pop celebrities.

Katie's former lovers include Portsmouth striker Teddy Sheringham, Blackburn player Dwight Yorke, TV Gladiator Ace and Pop Idol Gareth Gates.

She is now going out with singer Peter Andre after they met on ITV's I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!

Katie knocked fellow Brighton author Lynne Truss's punctuation book Eats, Shoots and Leaves, off the top spot in the bestsellers list.

Eats Shoots and Leaves has been in the top ten for 24 weeks but readers are now being captivated by the model's antics and moved by the story of Katie's disabled son Harvey, fathered by Yorke.
