I agree with most of J. Denman's comments (Letters, March 26) about the loss of sport and entertainments in Brighton and Hove.
Hopefully, the Brighton Tigers ice hockey team will soon return to grace the local sports scene.
However, he or she is wrong about the demise of cycle racing at Preston Park.
The Sussex Cycle Racing League is still going strong. Meetings will be taking place at Preston Park track (weather permitting) every Wednesday at 7.15pm from May 5 through to August 4.
In addition to the senior league, the races for the under-16s are also well supported.
Spectators are welcomed and there is no admission fee.
