Neighbours say they will fight developers' plans to build a block of flats on the site of a disused pub.
Peregrine Partnership, of Sackville Road, Hove, owns the site of the Broadway Bar at 25 Bristol Gardens, on the corner of Prince's Terrace, Kemp Town, Brighton.
The company submitted plans last week to knock down the pub and build a four-storey block of 14 flats, including amenity space, bicycle and bin storage and two disabled car parking spaces.
Brighton and Hove City Council planning officers have already received five objections.
It is not the first time Peregrine Partnership has lodged an application.
This time last year the company withdrew proposals for 21 flats on the site after bitter opposition from residents who said the block was too big. Planning officers had recommended refusal of the plans on 12 counts.
The new application is smaller, does not join on to Prince's Terrace as before and uses less of the pub's beer garden.
However, neighbours say the four-storey proposal is still too big and they will object again.
