Here's an idea for developer Josh Arghiros who wants to set Brighton University's architecture students the challenge to design a building that is both commercially viable and "exciting and interesting" (The Argus, November 24).

Why not set them a different challenge and invite them to design a building that doesn't provoke the kind of widespread antagonism his projects at North Road, the King Alfred, Connaught Road and Endeavour Motors have?

People in this city are not against modern architecture as such but they are fed up with overblown, greedy schemes which put profit first.
