A motorist's car careered off the road and crashed into a farmer's field.
Firefighters winched the man out of the Renault Megane in a stretcher following the accident in Long Furlong, Worthing, at 8.50pm yesterday.
He was taken to Worthing Hospital but is not thought to have been seriously injured.
A spokesman at Worthing Fire Station said the car left the road on a corner at the top of a steep hill, and piled into a hedge.
