Once again Labour councillors seem to forget they are not the majority party on Brighton and Hove City Council.
Averil Older and I were elected by the residents of Central Hove to serve on their behalf on the council.
One of their biggest fears was that Hove Library would close.
Without any communication with us, the ward councillors, the decision was taken to close the library. We did not expect to read it in The Argus first.
We are laughed at by Labour because of our stance on the King Alfred and our concerns about the huge, inappropriate development in Connaught Road were ignored.
We expect the courtesy of being informed of any impending decision that is made in our ward and insist on an input.
-Councillor Jan Young, Central Hove Ward
