Rennie Pilgrem, Uberzone, Koma & Boness, Blim and Smithmonger hit the decks with the return of Supercharged plus Brighton's newest hard dance extravaganza.

Hard South Launch Party, Honeyclub, King's Road Arches, Brighton, Sept 12, Call 09062 112211. Adding another string to its bow, the Honeyclub is putting on Hard South, Brighton's newest hard dance extravaganza. On the second Friday of every month, the finest DJs will be playing through a loud sound system against a background of strong visuals. The launch party features a true clash of the titans as Andy Farley and BK go head to head in a Frantic vs Nukleuz South Coast exclusive. It's expected to be busy so get there early. It runs from 10pm to 4am. Admission is £8 before 11pm and £10 after.

Supercharged, Beach, Kings Road Arches, Brighton, Sept 12. The Supercharged label's quest for world domination (the world of beats and breaks anyway) continues. It has just launched the Heavyweight Breaks 2 album (in a word, superb) and here is what looks like another strong line-up for its monthly residency at the Beach. This month's guests include Rennie Pilgrem, Uberzone, Koma & Boness, Blim and Smithmonger. 10pm to 3am. Admission is £4/6.

Every Day People, Marine Parade, Brighton, Sept 13, Call 01273 606906. Who is Gary Ward?

That's the question I was asking when I saw the line-up for EDP. It turns out he won the Miss MoneyPenny's DJ of the Year Competition 2001, ahead of more than 500 entrants, winning the chance to play Miss Moneypenny's closing party at El Divino, Ibiza. He's upstairs with Ash Huntington and Friendly Pressure, while downstairs there will be The Cheeky Half's first birthday party. 10pm to 3am. £8/7 (£5 NUS before 12am).
