The Arlington Stadium scoreboard got it right last night when it called Peterborough Panthers Pant's.

The fans hardly needed the description put up in lights. The evidence was clear to see on the track.

The visitors arrived minus three of their top riders and, more importantly, without adequate replacements.

The outcome was inevitable. A 61-29 drubbing and a benefit night for the Eastbourne Eagles riders.

Nicki Pedersen warmed up for Saturday's showdown with world title rivals Tony Rickardsson and Leigh Adams when Poole are in town with his first 15-point maximum for the Sussex outfit.

Dean Barker was also unbeaten by an opposing rider, so was David Norris until the final heat.

Shane Parker ended with a flourish for the Panthers, scoring their only win of the night at the 14th time of asking and then giving Pedersen something like a run for his money in the last race.

Even Grand Prix ace Ryan Sullivan looked out of sorts, failing to win in six attempts.

Sullivan led in three of his races but was passed with some ease by Pedersen twice and then by both Pedersen and Mark Loram.
