Having seen the aftermath of the accident on the A24 at Findon on Saturday something needs to be done to alert speeding drivers to the consequences of their actions.

This stretch of road is clearly marked with neon speed restrictions but reckless drivers choose to ignore these, endangering their own lives and those of innocent people.

Shock tactics are needed. Perhaps the police should leave the wreckage off the road but near to the scene, with large banners saying "Seriously injured" or "Fatality" draped over it.

If this was done only for a week, then drivers might think twice.
