Vinnie Wadey is too small to realise why he has made family history. But his birth means his family now has five living generations.
Vinnie, born on June 22 at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, is the great-great grandson of Patricia Nailard, 78, great grandson of June Whatman, 57, grandson of Tracey Whatman, 38, and the first son of Coral Wadey, 19.
Coral, of Donald Hall Road, Brighton, said everyone was thrilled with the addition to the family, which already includes 22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She said: "My family are really happy. Everyone wanted to see him at once. His great-great-nan is really pleased."
Coral's mother Tracey said she was already looking forward to a hectic Christmas.
She said: "It will be brilliant, I can't wait. But I will have to start saving.
"I am absolutely over the moon. He is beautiful."
