I totally disagree with Paul James' idea that Eastbourne needs to re-think its marketing strategy (The Argus, August 15).
Comparing it with Brighton, there's no contest. It has beautiful gardens, clean streets, excellent entertainment and some very nice hotels.
The Arndale Centre is a great attraction and there are plenty of very good places to eat.
Apart from food shopping locally, Eastbourne is my favourite place.
Admittedly the age of many visitors and residents is 50-plus but the visitors pour in.
I just hope with all my heart they do not try to turn it into another Brighton.
