A milestone for a nursing home will be tinged with sadness.
Elton Lodge, in Selden Road, Worthing, is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a garden fete on July 5.
But staff and residents are still mourning the death earlier this year of the homes owner, Breeda Saimbi.
Mrs Saimbi's son Rani said: "Sadly this year the proprietor of Elton Lodge, my mother, lost her brave battle with cancer, aged 60.
"I would like to make this anniversary as special as it can be."
