Invitation League: Third-placed Findon kept in touch with the leaders after a comfortable four-wicket win at struggling Burgess Hill.
Jason Atkins (47) and John White (42) did their best to inspire the second-bottom home side but three wickets each for John Rogers and Toby Kingsbury, plus two from Grant Christie, left Hill with a 163 total to chase.
Last year's champions batted consistently and reached their target inside 33 overs. Paul O'Sullivan made 38 as Findon finished on 164-6.
Captain Nigel Waller said: "It was very important we not only won but picked up maximum points as well because, although we are quite a way behind Arundel, it still keeps us in there.
"None of our players stood out, it was a good all round performance which was very pleasing. It was a comfortable win in the end."
Meanwhile, bottom side Clymping were on the brink of ending a run of six weeks without a win at Broadwater, but collapsed to a two-run defeat.
Broadwater won the toss and made 205-5, thanks to Richard Iago who hit 91.
That score looked under threat as Clymping reached 197-6 with 26 balls remaining and with Graham Blann (49) and Carl Pierce (81) in good form.
But the visitors collapsed to 203 all out as Fitzroy Hodges (4-65) did the damage for Broadwater.
Goring recorded their second win of the season after beating Lindfield by six wickets .
Visiting skipper Graham Page made 52, but received little support as Lindfield were dismissed for 140 against economical bowling by Kevin Burgess (4-43).
Goring made 141-4 inside 44 overs in reply, Richard Stanley (45) top scoring.
