A new £15 million academy aimed at boosting skills in the motor industry was launched by the Government yesterday.
Union and industry leaders welcomed the move and said the academy would act as a focal point for the training and development of the UK's 250,000 motor industry workers and for those wanting to join the profession.
The academy will be sited in the West Midlands, with other centres based throughout the country.
