So, 78-year-old Olive Taylor is threatened with eviction from her home (The Argus, June 13). Why?
Because she walks the streets collecting other people's rubbish which she sells and then gives the money she raises to charity.
What a petty, small-minded act by petty, small-minded people.
Instead of this shameful, draconian measure, councillors should be helping her in her endeavours.
It's a sad comment on our times when this valuable resource is just thrown in the street and left there and only one pensioner does anything constructive about it.
Shame on us all.
