Mick Pilmoor made 91 and Gary Funnell 46 in their 205-7 with Giles Daltrey taking 4-70. The visitors were dismissed for 164, Mark Dann taking 3-49.

Mick Baldwin (54) and Patrick Hole (33) steered second-placed Selmeston to a three-wicket home victory over Firle.

The hosts made 136-7 after Tony Wakeley had scored an unbeaten 50 in Firle's 135-5.

East Dean are up to third after cruising to an eight-wicket win over Alfriston. John Daubney took 3-16 as Alfriston were bowled out for 115 and the home side were boosted by Graham Primett's 47 in their winning reply.

Tristan Tulley (58) and Richard Piper (40 not out) were the mainstays of Withyham's successful run chase against Bells Yew Green. They helped take the visitors to 162-2 after they had dismissed Green for 161. Steve Huggett made 73 while Phil Adams took 3-32.
