Alan Cobden has been solving problems all over the world in his 30 years working for the Foreign Office.
But when he returns to Sussex, he likes to spend time as a guard on the Bluebell railway, near Haywards Heath.
Alan, from Burgess Hill, often has to deal with distressed and angry British tourists during his time abroad.
But back on the Bluebell line, the only place where steam is being raised is in the engines.
