A schoolboy was pushed into the sea and then forced to strip naked by three bullies.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the attack on Worthing seafront, near Brooklands Park.

The 15-year-old victim was approached by three males who threatened to beat him up if he did not walk along a sewer outlet pipe, at 7.30pm on Monday.

One of the bullies pushed him into the sea before repeating the order three times.

On the fourth occasion, the victim slipped and banged his knees and forehead on the pipe, cutting his hand.

A police spokeswoman said: "The offenders told the victim to lie down and sit in the sea which he did, swallowing sea water in the process.

"They then started to make him take his clothes off on the shore."

The bullies kept their faces turned away throughout the attack and the victim was unable to give a description. Anyone with information can call the police on 0845 607099.
