Chris Eubank's day as a kitchen skivvy has been put on hold by his wife's illness.
The Argus revealed on Wednesday how the boxer had agreed to spend today helping at the Mad Hatter caf in Montpelier Road, Brighton after losing a bet.
Caf-owner Nick Saxon had won Chris' services in a wager after beating him repeatedly at pool.
However, the new recruit will not now be swapping boxing gloves for rubber gloves until next Friday because of health worries about his wife Karron who has just been discharged from hospital.
Channel Five is tailing Hove-based Chris and his family for a reality TV show and wanted Karen to take part in the caf stunt.
Mr Saxon said: "It will be the same time, the same place, just seven days later.
"Channel Five were very keen for his wife to be there and since she has only just got out of hospital, no one wanted to take any risks.
"I don't know what she was in hospital for but everyone seemed quite serious about it."
