The BBC featured a report on a group of people who are keen to reform the area formerly known as Wessex.

I have been advocating such an idea for Sussex for some time. I would still like to see The Argus undertake a search for a figurehead for Sussex who is able to represent the entire county.

I have been suggesting the idea of a county-wide written constitution for our ancient county which, by the way, shares a frontier with Wessex and has seen little change in more than 1,500 years, when we were a Kingdom in our own right.

I envisage a well known celebrity for this most honourable of tasks. Readers could vote for whom they think would best suit us.
