No, Mr Parry (The Argus, April 11), those of us opposed to Bush's amoral, everlasting and fascist "war against terrorism" won't achieve anything by not voting Labour at any election.

General Elections are won by the party that is trusted to run public services, such as the NHS, for the benefit of us, the public.

Here's why the turnout at other elections is less than 25 per cent: Councils don't affect the public services that are important to the majority of people.

It's said that establishing a stable Iraqi government will take at least two years and that rebuilding costs will be more than £40 billion.

As taxes dramatically rise to pay for Blair's whipped-dog antics, public services and the economy will continue to decline.

By the next General Election, it'll be clear no politician could be trusted to run even a brothel at a profit.

I think the turnout at the next General Election will be less than 50 per cent.

Only by not voting will people show the Blairs of this world that representative democracy is a lie.
