MONDAY: Micky Adams pledges to pursue runaway leaders Chesterfield following Albion's victory against promotion rivals Cardiff.

"We have just got to keep plugging away," says Adams. "While there is still not a 'c' by their name for champions we are going to chase them."

Bobby Zamora (ankle), Charlie Oatway (knee), Darren Freeman (calf) and Paul Brooker (back and calf) all miss training.

TUESDAY: Mark Cartwright is revealed as a record-breaker after keeping his sixth clean sheet in the League in a row against Cardiff.

Club historian Tim Carder confirms to the Argus: "Five in the League was the record before.

"That was done by Billy Hayes, Peter Grummitt, Brian Powney and Nicky Rust."

Adams and assistant Bob Booker make the long trip to Bloomfield Road to see next Tuesday's Withdean visitors Blackpool beat Cardiff 1-0.

Albion's promotion hopes are further boosted by a 0-0 draw for Rochdale at Scunthorpe.

WEDNESDAY: Adams hints that Danny Cullip will have to wait for a recall after completing his suspension.

The boss praises the partnership forged in the centre of defence by Andy Crosby and Matt Wicks.

"I think they have got better as they have gone on," says Adams. "We have only conceded one goal in three games."

Cullip makes his comeback in a 5-0 friendly win for the reserves at Littlehampton. Lee Steele (2), Steve Melton (2) and Scott Ramsay score in the second half.

THURSDAY: Cartwright sets his sights on equalling Billy Hayes' 77-year-old club record of seven straight shut-outs in all competitions at Cheltenham on Saturday.

"I set myself a goal when I got back in the side," says Cartwright. "I wanted to keep three clean sheets, but the Rochdale game was called off."

Adams backs Paul Rogers' bid to extend his playing career beyond his 37th birthday.

"If he says he can go on for another year I wouldn't disagree. He is a great professional."

FRIDAY: Micky Adams believes 35 points from their remaining 18 games will secure promotion.
