Albion chief Steve Coppell has pledged his side will go all out for a precious victory at play-off probables Reading tomorrow night.

He refuses to put up the shutters away from home in the final month of the dogfight at the foot of the table.

The Seagulls will be seeking a second triumph on their travels this year, which would pile the pressure on their relegation rivals.

Coppell said: "We are going to take each game in isolation and try to win three points. Perhaps some of the other teams at the bottom have been accused, certainly away from home, of trying to take a point.

"We are not going to do that. That's not the way I want to do things. The three points are that valuable that they are worth going for."

Sheffield Wednesday, Grimsby, Stoke, Derby and Walsall all bolstered their squads on transfer deadline day last week, but Coppell is content with the status quo in his camp.

The deadline passed quietly at Albion once a second scan confirmed Bobby Zamora was on course to recover from his slight hamstring tear "I go on about it being a special bunch of players," Coppell said. "The only sort of interest I would have had on deadline day was someone of significance or with a very special personality.

"If Bobby's scan had been negative I probably would have done something there, not because I had anyone particular in mind but just because we would have just needed one more.

"Can we improve on the squad? Yes, of course we can, but given the scenario, the timing and what the players have given themselves over the past few months I was reasonably content."

Reading's late transfer activity has reduced the chances of former Albion loan signing Anthony Rougier featuring against the Seagulls.

The Berkshire club borrowed Burnley winger Glen Little for the rest of the season after re-signing Luke Chadwick on loan from Manchester United.

Rougier, who rejoined Reading last week following two goals in six appearances for Albion, admits it will feel strange. "That's football for you," he said.

"I've got to put my head on and get on with what I am being paid to do, whether that is in a Brighton shirt or a Reading shirt.

"I don't think Brighton will go down. It will be very tight until the end of the season, but if they continue to do what I saw them doing in the past month there's no chance of them going down."
