Mark Knee scored twice to help Worthing to their first division one south win in six games with a 4-3 home success over promotion-chasing Windsor and Eton.

This was an important victory for Rebels, who had won only one of their previous 13 league games and had failed to score in six of their last eight home matches.

Worthing led 3-0 after only 27 minutes and 4-1 early in the second half but were given a fright by the visitors who had Dave Tilbury sent off for violent conduct in the last minute.

Striker Knee drove Rebels in front from a Paul Rapps cross on nine minutes and Rapps, making only his second appearance of the season, doubled the advantage four minutes later.

Carrington made it three with a left foot shot when Ryan Parsons missed Knee's low diagonal ball into the area.

Shaun Dyke pulled one back for Windsor but Knee got in between two big defenders to head in a Lopez cross four minutes after the break.

Rebels were then put under increasing pressure and keeper Luke Burton saved from Dyke before Leon Townley headed a good chance over.

Worthing endured an anxious finale after late goals from Russ Saunders and Mike Murphy.
