When I first saw the plans for the new Endeavour building, I thought: "Well, at least someone in Brighton has a sense of humour."
Then I saw the new plans and designs for the King Alfred site and I knew there was an even bigger comedian around.
Do these people really think what one hopes is a sensible Brighton and Hove City Council or the public will really accept such monstrosities to be placed on our Regency-designed seafront?
My first thought, on seeing them, was that these eyesores were the victims of a large explosion and were about to fall down.
Can you imagine the outcry if it was proposed these horrors be built near the Regency Crescent in Bath?
Surely someone can come up with a design echoing the architecture of the lovely Regency squares already in place but with a modern touch? Is that too much to ask?
