If you give regular PC or Mac presentations then the cordless Gyration Ultra Mouse is definitely for you.
It is fitted with an optical sensor like most other quality mice but it also has a gyroscopic sensor so you can use it in mid-air.
I can hear the sneers from here but let me explain. Sometimes a presenter needs to operate a computer while giving a demonstration.
The Gyration Ultra Mouse allows them to move the pointer on screen 25ft from the computer. In other words from the middle of a stage or presentation area.
The gyroscopic action detects movement as the mouse is swung through the air. This action is transferred directly to the pointer on screen.
The mouse comes with radio equipment, cables and digital security features as standard.
There are no special drivers or software to load. Installation simply means linking the USB receiver to your computer and synchronising mouse and receiver by pressing a button on the receiver for a few seconds.
The Ultra Mouse uses a high bandwidth radio that transmits data up to 160 per cent faster than other cordless mice resulting in faster, smoother tracking.
This is not the cheapest cordless mouse but I am impressed.
It feels right and is fun to use.
