Albion have been plunged into a striker crisis after moving out of the bottom two for the first time since September.

Bobby Zamora is banned for one match and Gary Hart for four following late bookings for the pair in Saturday's 1-0 triumph at Bradford.

Zamora's fifth yellow card of the campaign came after his decisive header from a Hart cross in the first half at Valley Parade.

Albion's ten-goal talisman misses the trip to Gillingham a week on Saturday.

Hart already faced a three-match suspension because ref Joe Ross has refused to review his controversial red card in the home defeat by Wimbledon.

Hart is ruled out of this Saturday's home game against Millwall, Gillingham and the visit to relegation rivals Stoke on March 5.

His latest booking means he is also sidelined from the home fixture against Rotherham three days later.

Paul Kitson is still injured, which leaves Graham Barrett as the only other senior front man.

Boss Steve Coppell said: "I'll have to get on the phone and hope that we can get someone in up front, because that's a big hole.

"Bobby and Harty have been the combination up front for two victories and strikers are notoriously hard to come by.

"The review board have asked the referee to have another look at Harty's dismissal and he is not big enough to do that. I am really disappointed."

Hart said: "At the end of the day I know I'm innocent. If the ref won't look at it that's down to him. I've just got in the team and now I'll be out for four games."

A linesman ruled Zamora's matchwinning header crossed the line, with Bradford claiming keeper Aidan Davison had blocked it away.

Hart said: "I was the one that crossed it and I was basically straight on the line. As far as I'm concerned it was over.

"As soon as Bobby headed it I put my hand up and I was looking at the linesman. We got a bit of luck at last."
