Angus Williams scored twice as Eastbourne beat Crowborough 5-0 in Kent/Sussex division one.
Dan Hill, Dave Morgan and Nick Corbett also found the target against a Crowborough side who had held leaders BBHC to a goalless draw the previous week.
The only sour point for Eastbourne was losing sweeper Matt Copping with a shoulder injury in the first five minutes. He will now be out for six weeks.
Meanwhile, Crawley's poor run continued as they lost 4-1 at third placed Old Bordenians.
An injury to Keith Frimley did not help Crawley who were 3-0 down at half-time. It had become 4-0 by the time Kris Rai set up skipper Jamie Westwood to crash home a short corner for a consolation goal.
Westwood said: "We really lost the game in the first 15 minutes. Old B's seemed more up for it and going 2-0 down so early on meant we had to take the game to them."
South Saxons lost 6-0 at home to Sutton Valence.
