If you were at the newly-painted Concorde 2 last Thursday you many have noticed that love was in the air!

Love Grocer got the ball rolling. The five-piece congregation mixed brass, dub and love with well delivered lyrics as Love Is The Key and Loving In Da House meandered through the somnolent crowd.

Nucleus Roots bought a lot more energy to the room along with their slick words of wisdom and weighty dub mix.

Their lively vibe and genuine attitude - "I ain't into no politics b******s, but I ain't into Bush and Blair'' - alongside frequent references to love and unity won the crowd over effortlessly.

As the bass became more ponderous, the projection of their unequivocal energy continued to create a loving atmosphere.

With the recent release of Universal Love, let's hope that Nucleus Roots will keep on spreading the word and, of course, the love.

If you get the chance to see them, make sure you do. Everyone is welcome, but perhaps not if your name is Bush or Blair.
