Albion's youngsters will have to cope with Wimbledon's physical presence if the Seagulls are to progress in the under-18 FA Youth Cup.
That is the view of youth coach Dean Wilkins as Albion prepare for their third round tie at Nyewood Lane, Bognor, tonight (7.30pm).
The prize for the winners is a home tie against Norwich in round four but Wilkins is looking no further ahead than Wimbledon and the former Seagulls midfielder expects a tough test from Carlton Fairweather's Dons.
He said: "We can't watch their under-18s because there's not a league at that age, but we've had Wimbledon watched a couple of times at under-17s and under-19s.
"They were a big side at under-19s level and fairly direct, so we are going to have our work cut out on the physical side. We've got a very young side this year."
