Lewes took a big stride towards London Three South East safety with a 15-12 home win over East Grinstead.
Wing Rob Barton rounded off the best move of the match and Chris Brant claimed a pushover try as Lewes led 12-0 at the break.
Alex Ingham and Rob Gardner scored tries for Grinstead, the first of them goaled by Ben McDowell.
Dave Tyrrell kicked a penalty for Lewes in between those scores to add to his earlier conversion.
Grinstead now head for a key clash with Eastbourne, who are still missing half their first choice side and went down agonisingly 14-13 at home to Gravesend.
They were 13-6 up with 20 minutes to go but inexperience cost them dear as they ran two penalties from inside their own half and came to grief.
Joel Craven scored a try and Ollie Cummings kicked a conversion and two penalties though he missed with a late kick which would have won the game.
