Selsey moved six points clear of the relegation zone with a 4-1 win at Ringmer.

Goals came from Jon Bines, Clinton More, Ian Ford and Paul Lee, with Andy Johnson replying for Ringmer from the penalty spot after Paul Thomsett had been brought down.

Selsey boss Danny Hinshelwood said: "Apart from the last ten to 15 minutes we played really well and scored some good goals. To come to a place like Ringmer and grind out a result will make people look up."

Hassocks boss Dave John and Horsham YMCA counterpart John Suter admitted the 2-2 scoreline was about right from their clash at The Beacon.

Both YM goals came from Nick Flint corners. Peter Durrant headed in the first to give his side the lead, then flicked on for Wayne Potter to nod the 80th-minute point saver.

In between, the Robins conjured two goals involving James Laing.

He scored the equaliser from the spot after being pulled back by Durrant, then combined with Luke Flomo to set up a Joe Fernley strike.

Darren Annis scored two and set up goals for Dominic Shepherd and Reece Head as Shoreham enjoyed a 5-0 home win over Hailsham.

The only goal he was not involved in was the opener by Shepherd.
