First, the poor residents of Denmark Road, Portslade, have been told to move from their homes because of cracks inside and out (The Argus, November 25). Brighton and Hove City Council the previous week had told the residents at this time of the financial year it had not got the money to undertake major repairs and possibly not next year either.
Second, the council has £45 million pound to spend on the new Brighton Library. What should take priority, books or people? Given most of these residents are disabled or elderly, I know what the answer should be.
