Steve Melton's one-month loan move to Peter Taylor's Hull could become permanent.
Former Albion boss Taylor, keen to keep Melton for the Third Division Tigers, said: "He impressed me when I was at Brighton.
"He's a skilful midfield player who can score goals. What he needs is regular first team football."
Steve Coppell revealed a permanent mpve "is a possibility".
Meanwhile, Shaun Wilkinson featured in a 1-1 draw for Chesterfield's reserves against Wrexham at Saltergate yesterday.
The match was a trial for the Seagulls' youngster with a view to joining the Spireites on a month's loan.
