Stonemason Gary Boxall has been busy carving the names of 100 stars who will be immortalised in stone along the Brighton Walk of Fame.
Mr Boxall, from Ferring-based Artists In Stone, is now applying the finishing touches to the special 14in square stones ready for the launch of the project.
The distinctive green Westmorland stones will make up the Hollywood-style walk, which will initially run the length of the new waterfront development at Brighton Marina.
Mr Boxall said: "They will be distinctive and hard wearing. They will look good and be able to withstand thousands of people walking over them."
The stones will be delivered this week in time for the star-studded launch on Sunday.
The famous names range from the Prince Regent to violinist Nigel Kennedy and include commentator Des Lynam, DJ Annie Nightingale, ice skater Robin Cousins, DJ Terry Garoghan and actor Victor Spinetti.
Columnist Adam Trimingham, the longest-serving reporter at The Argus, is also included in the list.
