Lancing moved back into third spot in Division Two with a 2-0 win at Eastbourne United.

Recent signing Paul Rapps capped his first start for Lancing by setting up both goals. Jamie Cole volleyed home the first and Matt Kelly headed in the second.

Adam Burton scored his first senior hat-trick as Saltdean United won 5-2 at Broadbridge Heath to edge clear of the danger zone.

Lee Dray also scored twice while replies came from Dan Attwater and Paul Gallagher.

Tigers boss Paul Hubbard said: "It lifts us up to where we ought to be, which is in the middle of the league table.

"The way we have played this year, even though we have had a couple of stinkers, did not warrant where we were in the league."

Wealden ran out 4-0 winners over Pease Pottage thanks to goals from Andy Coleman, Mark Harman, Darren Gearing and Lee Sale.

In the Division Two Cup, Steyning Town enjoyed a tremendous 6-1 win over East Grinstead at East Court.

Grinstead, who hope to be pushing for promotion this year, must be sick of the sight of Steyning after losing 5-0 in the league to them earlier in the season.

Chris Arrow gave Wasps the lead but Steyning responded in style with Chris Duffett hitting a hat-trick, Simon Price bagging a brace and Danny Gainsford rounding off the scoring in the last minute.

Wayne Whittington scored a late winner as Mile Oak knocked out fellow league strugglers Oving 2-1.

Brian Clarke gave Oving an early lead but they struggled after Hugh Howden was sent off for violent conduct soon after half time.

Ryan Sargent levelled after being set-up by Mike Reilly and substitute Whittington pounced for the winner after Matt Hurley's header was cleared off the line.

Worthing United beat Seaford 2-1 after extra time even though player-manager John Dutton missed a penalty.

Roy Ranger gave Seaford a sixth minute lead but Danny Keech levelled on the hour. Dutton skied his spot kick early in extra time but Andrew Walsh spared his blushes with a stunning winner.

Shinewater went through 4-0 at Crawley Down. Shine were without top scorer Tobi Hutchinson but his brother Ben Hutchinson netted twice late on to cap a fine victory. Max Dyer opened the scoring from Mark Ranson's cross and Greg Manton hit the second.

Shine boss Dave Shearing said: "They were never going to score. Once we did, we could have had loads."
