Brighton and Horsham both recorded impressive Kent/Sussex Regional League wins.

Craig Carolan scored a hat-trick as Brighton fought back from a 2-1 half time deficit to beat Sevenoaks 6-2 and maintain their 100 per cent start to the season.

Carolan gave the leaders an early lead but the hosts Sevenoaks fought back with two goals before half time.

Brighton looked a different side in the second half with Richard Cooke and Carolan both squandering chances before Cooke levelled.

Cooke then scored his second from a penalty flick, Carolan found the net twice more and Paul Watson rounded off victory.

Brighton skipper Carlo Missirian said: "In the second half we were awesome.

"It was nice to be tested, although in the four games we have played there has not been a lot in it at half time. We haven't finished a team off by half time yet and that proves two things. Our fitness is showing, because we are very fit, and secondly over a period of 70 minutes the chances are going in."

Meanwhile, skipper Richard Lowe scored twice as Horsham beat Maidstone 3-1 to record their first win of the campaign.

Lowe burst through from midfield to give Horsham the lead before the visitors levelled. Lowe scored again after good work from Stuart Donaldson before half time while Richard Blakesley set up Donaldson for the third.

Lowe said: "It was our best performance of the year so far. Maidstone are a good side but we were on top right from the start."
