A bus link is being introduced later this month to provide a better service for students at Brighton universities.
Metro Line 25, which serves the Lewes Road and Falmer campuses, will increase in frequency to every six minutes with double-deck buses from September 29.
Buses on the route will divide at Old Steine.
During the day, half will continue to Palmeira Square in Hove while the others will run along a new route via the seafront, Rock Gardens and Eastern Road to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, also every 12 minutes.
Roger French, managing director of Brighton and Hove Bus and Coach Company, said: "We have seen significant growth in the number of students travelling by bus to the university sites and are continuing to respond to this demand.
"We are confident this new link will prove very popular, not only with students living in Kemp Town but also with people living in the Lewes Road area who travel to the hospital and will no longer need to change."
