An inquest into the death of a nurse after DJ Fatboy Slim's summer beach party is due to be held tomorrow.

Karen Manders, 25, fell 20ft from railings on Brighton seafront three hours after the Normstock II event.

She was sitting on the railing on the King's Road promenade at 2am on July 14, when she toppled backwards and fell.

She suffered severe head and spine injuries and died in the Royal Sussex County Hospital two days later.

The concert attracted 250,000 partygoers and dozens suffered cuts and crush injuries.

But Karen's parents, Ken and Jan Manders, said they did not blame anyone for her death.

They flew from their home in Australia to be by their daughter's side as she lay in intensive care.

Norman Cook, alias Fatboy Slim, and his wife Zoe Ball sent flowers to the funeral, bearing the message: "Shine on Karen."

Karen, who lived in Bethnal Green, east London, worked as an accident and emergency nurse at Homerton University Hospital in Hackney.

The inquest is due to open at 2pm at Brighton Magistrates' Court.
