A pensioner was duped out of £5,000 by bogus workmen.
They persuaded her to have a wall at her home in Brighton repainted andhave guttering removed.
They took her to her bank, where she withdrew the money. She handed it over but the men never returned.
Police are looking for a man with an Irish accent, short dark hair and stocky. He was accompanied by two men in their late teens or early 20s.
They used a white van which appeared new and had blue lettering on the side.
