Kite-surfers have been warned they are endangering light aircraft around Shoreham airport.
The airport issued the alert to surfers who use kites to pull them in the Lancing and Shoreham Beach area, saying they pose a threat on flight paths.
People who fly model planes from Mill Hill, overlooking the airport, have also been told they pose a danger.
Airport officials outlined the urgency of the warning in a letter to Lancing Parish Council.
