Just when will the numbskulls who run Southern Water understand the taxpayers of Telscombe Cliffs, Telscombe Town, Lewes District and East Sussex County will not accept one iota more of Brighton and Hove's excrement than is already processed at the Portobello Treatment Works?
If there is a need to upgrade Brighton and Hove's seawater by enhanced sewage water treatment, where is the place to be for such a plant?
Where else than in Brighton and Hove itself?
Brighton and Hove City Council is looking for another use for Black Rock, why not a sewage treatment works?
Telscombe Town, its residents, together with staunch support from elected representatives at all levels and most of its neighbouring communities, was defeated by Southern Water's proposals to extend the Portobello works.
We will not be defeated by Southern Water's undemocratic conspirators and their Machiavellian underhand methods.
The cliff-top was and is an area of outstanding natural beauty and Southern Water's machinations to have it excluded from the latest plans will not be accepted.
