It never fails to amaze me how stupid some boat owners can be. Last weekend, I must have seen 15 to 20 boats inside the swimming buoys off Brighton.

It would help if a notice was displayed on the buoys to say what they are for, apparently, it is not obvious to everybody or if the in-shore lifeguard policed the area.

Some swimmers swim to the buoys and back and, with many powerboat drivers not watching what they are towing, it's an accident waiting to happen.
