The letter and leaflet sent to users of the King Alfred Leisure Centre in Hove by Councillor Mike Middleton have three options, each of which includes the construction of flats and shops.
It is clear that the building is not going to fall down and all that is needed is for some parts to be refurbished. I do not believe the cost of the work will be enormous and will certainly not need construction of any shops or flats. This option would, of course, be a great disappointment to the very friendly developers and Coun Middleton.
The leaflet refers to the opinion of users but, although I have been a regular visitor to the centre for more than ten years and have used all the facilities, I have never heard any complaints about them.
