Perhaps it would be a kindness to readers to know that the Madeira Lift, Brighton, has been out of order since Easter, although it never shows an "out of order" sign.
I live opposite the lift and every day people with prams and wheelchairs wait in vain for the lift. It never comes.
It is, I understand, part of the lease agreement with Concorde 2 that the lift is maintained and operated. I think the public should be told why this is not happening.
