Safety experts are contacting thousands of food businesses across Sussex advising them not to use some cans of mushrooms.
Tests have revealed defects in the seams of some cans of 10oz Dragon Boat Shiitake Mushrooms, which could lead to food poisoning.
Brighton and Hove City Council also warned consumers to dispose of any affected cans.
The can code on the lid is L7 1 011026 846 and the code on the base is 3300/01007.
