So, 61,452 people signed a petition for a stadium at Falmer.
There are about 320,000 people classed as living in the environs of Brighton and Hove so that equates to about 20 per cent who want it.
What about the other 80 per cent who probably do not want the stadium built there?
I still maintain that Waterhall must be the best natural bowl in the area, just crying out for a stadium.
Forget all the green-belt nonsense, forget inside or outside the bypass - which was built on greenbelt land because it was the best option for Brighton and Hove - any person of reasonable intelligence if shown the site would see how it lends itself to a stadium.
I am still at a loss to see how Falmer can be better when you see how close Waterhall is to a confluence of road and rail links from all parts of the country.
