Sussex print firm The Beacon Press has completed a gem of a job for one of the country's most famous arts attractions.

The Uckfield-based company has produced a huge print run of 112,000 postcards for sale during the Victoria and Albert Museum's eye-catching exhibition, Tiaras, billed as the greatest collection of tiaras ever assembled.

The cards will go on sale to visitors who want a memento from a priceless display of more than 200 gem-set ornaments which have graced the heads of British and European royal families as well as celebrity queens like Joanna Lumley, Victoria Beckham and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Production controller Clive Barnes, who handled the commission for Beacon, said: "The job certainly brought a touch of glamour to our factory. Buying one of the postcards we've produced will be the nearest most people will get to actually owning a tiara."

It was the latest in a line of print commissions carried out by Beacon for fine arts clients, including the Royal Academy of Arts, the National Gallery and the National Portrait Gallery.
